Gail Tyrrell, founder of the Wise Woman Institute, has more than twenty years experience as a business consultant working with Fortune 500 senior executives and their teams. She has worked extensively in Asia, Europe, and the United States with global corporations in strategic design, organizational transformation, team building, leadership, and breakthrough performance.

Gail spent the years prior as a producer and associate director for Network Sports Television. She was able to observe firsthand how the world-class coaches worked with their Olympic athletes, training them to produce breakthrough performances and results. This unique mix of organizational perspectives, paired with her long time passion for individual transformation, led her to become a Seminar Leader for Landmark Education. During her ten year association with the company, Gail led seminars to over 10,000 participants and their families.

Gail then continued her education by receiving the advanced certification from the IGM® Therapeutic Acupressure School. The Isabell Gatto Method of Therapeutic Acupressure combines the five Eastern Meridian-based point therapy techniques of Acupressure, Shiatsu, AMMA, Reflexology and Jin Shin, along with the multi-conceptual components of Therapeutic Touch, Color Therapy and Music Therapy.

In 2001, Gail was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her four-year process of healing lead her on a spiritual journey that reawakened her intuitive abilities, and inspired her to create the Wise Woman Institute. In addition to her work with the Institute, Gail delivers workshops on reinventing your life after cancer. She also volunteers her time at Morristown Memorial Hospital, performing therapeutic acupressure with cancer patients before and after their treatments, and with patients in hospice. Gail developed the Wise Woman Institute as a global community for women to contribute to and benefit from each other's wisdom, to discover the joy and beauty of aging, and the new opportunities, creativity, and knowledge that unfolds with this journey.
